U.S. Forwarding Service Corp's Role Debt Collection Companies offshore that purchase (currently own) debtor accounts which originate in the United States or that collect on behalf of a USA based creditor must receive payments through a USA based business account. We provide such an account to such verified, legitimate collection companies, acting as their USA Banking Fiduciary. We are NOT the collection company. We simply forward the collected funds -- minus our fee -- to them. It is the responsibility of the collection company to notify original creditor who should then notify the credit reporting agencies when a debt has been paid off as agreed. If you have been contacted by a collection company that receives payments through us, be sure to keep all correspondence between you and them. If there has been an agreement between you and them that a partial payment or payments amounting to LESS than the total owed will be accepted as full and final settlement of the debt, then the collection company should not sell your remaining debt to any other collector. KEEP any such communication to share with the credit bureaus after you have met the partial payment obligation. USFSC will keep a record of your payment for a year after it is made, but you must keep record of the agreement you reach with the Collection Company! EMAIL to us must contain all your information: your phone, your email, any payments that came thru us including date sent, date your check cleared in your bank, amount, bank name, and original creditor name and original amount of debt and, of course, the reason you are writing. If you spoke to a collection agent, his name and the date of conversation is important. We do not have a customer service department, because we do not serve the public.
